This is a picture of the statue inside the Jefferson memorial. One thing that struck me about this monument is the number of Jefferson quotes that were inside. Those of you that talk about the separation of church and state should look at the quotes of Jefferson (one of our founding fathers) that are inside the monument. He talks about God, a lot. The separation of church and state means that the state shall not make any law affecting the church or the free exersize of religion, not that we can not have Godly rulers or allow Godly principals rule our government. If you do not believe me look as some of the rulings that some of the judges made back when our country was fairly new. When they made a ruling, they backed their ruling by bible verses. Our country was founded on the christian faith, but at the same time allowing for any religion to have the same rights of free worship as they see fit.
