Some fountain with roses planted around it that I thought was pretty.
I believe this to be a momorial to "The World War", WWI. This memorial is in the mall area, near the Lincoln memorial. My wife actually took this show, so I will have to gove her credit.

My lovely wife and myself standing on the steps of the Lincoln memorial. In the background you can see teh refledction pool. If there was less glare in the background you could see the Washington monument.
Here is a shot of the Lincoln monument. The sun was real bright at the time, and this is not the best picture in the world. But still a reminder of a very important figure in our history.
