We arrived in the SanFrancisco area late at night. We did not want to go ahead and drive into the city half asleep. So we took a ariport curtesy shuttle to the nearby Westin Hotel and stayed the first night.
Here is a picture of the SanFrancisco airport from the Westin Hotel. This image did not scan in very well, but you can sort of see that the hill in the backgroung.
Here is a shot out over the water taken from in front of the Westin. When you fly into the airport there you come in over the water and at first you think, "gee we are a little too close to the water." Then you hit the runway, and everything is OK.
