I actually think that this picture was taken at elevation in New Hampshire, so it may be a little out of order. But my possible error aside, you can see the beauty of the mountains.
Another picture in New Hampshire. I am not sure what the clearing is for on the hillside, but I thought that the view out across the water was a good one.
Here is where we stayed in Portland Maine. The place is called "The Inn on Charlton Street," conveniently it is located on (you guessed it) Charlton Street. This place was it a good, and quiet place of downtown Portland Maine. It is worth staying at this place just to see the furniture that she has inside. Breakfast was quite hardy. We all (us and all the guests) sat around the same large table, and talked and ate.
Here is our first good view of the Maine coast. This is out near Cape Elizabeth in Portland. This area was very clean, and as you can see we had a good clear day.
Another view of the coast. Notice the rocky nature of the area. There was not a lot of fall color along the coast, but once you got a little inland, the color became apparent.
